Glorious Girdwood Many a frame have been exposed here in all seasons and of all types of trains. Does it get any better than this spot? I dare say I'd be hard pressed to find a location the equal of this one! Here is yet another image of a train rounding the gentle curve at MP 75.5 north of Girdwood with the glacier bedecked peaks of the Chugach Mountains rising beyond at the head of Girdwood Valley. This is a 125N head to Anchorage with CN interchange from Whittier freshly arrived off the Aqua Train from Prince Rupert behind a pair of GP40-2s .
